About Us

From Medellín. Culture. Cloud. Capital.

Team history: milestones and founders. What we build, thesis, figures — in home, solutions, investors. That is where they stay current.

Milestones

How we got here.

2014–2017

Laboratory & music

Alexander experiments at the intersection of art and systems obsession; Cristian learns to build software as a kid and enters music without consuming passively.

2017–2020

Industry in the flesh

Cristian produces and releases with Shennay; learns the hard way that without registration and correct collection, momentum evaporates. That lesson becomes a seed for Sleem.

2018+

Architecture dialogue

Alexander and Cristian stop talking about "jobs" and start designing systems: how the world breaks and how to build something that does not collapse on first scale.

2020–2023

Qué Código & Loro Musical

Cristian scales engineering to bank-grade systems, then sees the same distribution failures from the operator side that hurt him as an artist.

Aug 2023

Sleem registered

Official launch: Sleem is registered in August 2023, formalizing what was already in motion — infrastructure so independents stop being productized and start building businesses.

Founders

Two stories. One direction.

One comes from music and code. The other from systems architecture. Shared: refusal of comfortable systems.

Portrait of Cristian Álvarez (Cris DAM)

Cristian David Álvarez Martínez

Founder & CEO of Sleem

Cris DAMTechnologist and musician — builds by understanding first.

Born in Medellín, November 18, 1998. I come with one trait that defines everything: I cannot do something without understanding how it works. At seven, what drew me was deciphering, not consuming. YouTube, forums, documentation. HTML, WordPress. My family moved city to city — best school ever for adaptation.

Music hit at 10 and never left. Produced, mixed, launched with Shennay — crossed a million streams organically. Also lived the dark side: no registrations, no correct collections, contracts that buried me. Expensive lesson. Same systemic failures that hurt me as an artist became, years later, the seed of Sleem.

Co-founded Qué Código at 17 with Edinson. Started in a living room, ended building bank-grade infrastructure. Learned how to make third-party businesses work. Learned how companies really move. But I wanted to build mine.

Loro Musical was next — COO role, and there I saw systemic distribution failures from inside: chaotic reporting, royalties that never came, zero transparency. Exactly what had hurt me before, now from the operator side. Designed the core of what became Sleem.

Registered Sleem August 2023. Objective unchanged: artists stop being productized and build real businesses. Transparency. Technology. Human team. Those three pillars. I operate between Spain and Medellín. Still make music as Cris DAM — music is how people process.

Portrait of Alexander Aguirre (Brauggen)

Alexander Aguirre Londoño

Head of Innovation & Co-founder · Sleem

BrauggenBetter known as Brauggen — from experimental bedroom to systems architect.

Since 2014, I spent years in an experimental bedroom in Medellín, mixing sound, frequency, art. People called it weird. For me it was architecture — learning how incompatible things join. The lesson: if the system does not work, you do not adapt. You change it.

Music is not luxury. It is the strongest coping mechanism we have. People keep searching for a frequency that keeps them sane even when everything falls. We are not selling a product — we optimize the frequency that allows people to survive a world that hits hard.

Vision changed when I met Cristian. Every idea needs a mirror that reflects operational capacity, not ego. That collision made Sleem.

Since 2018, we do not talk careers — we talk systems. How does the world work? How does it break? We embedded in the machinery: capital services to see how money moves and where it sticks; music-tech to prove rhythm and code are the same thing with two faces.

I stopped judging people. I stopped trusting systems. "Best practices" are old habits dressed as wisdom — scars, not blueprints.

Everything converges here: the experimental room, years obsessed with architecture, refusal to accept "how things are done." We are not a startup more. We are a decade-long answer to comfortable systems. Ambition has criteria. We came to shift the frequency.
